Game Controls
« on: July 16, 2003, 07:51:42 pm »
This probably sounds rather silly to ask, but in the final release, will there be an option to use on of those controllers that other computer games use? (err... joystick I think... but I\'m not sure...)

I\'m not very good at games using the keyboard ._.

And, an off-topic question here, oh... darn it. I forgot. When I remember, I\'ll post it. *sigh*

Nobody can say for sure what control methods will be available in future releases of Planeshift, but suffice as to say the current setup is likely to change and be added to as the game develops and advances.

um... pressing the four movement keys WSAD isn\'t that hard now is it? and you seem to be able to type, so chatting wouldn\'t be a problem for you... so it must the mouse you wan\'t to get rid of... but how can you use your computer without the mouse??

I would consider practicing some more if this is what is bugging you...

My only problem with the current controls are the lack of strafe left and strafe right buttons

I suppose I should pratice. I don\'t have games on my computer, I just have video game systems. Control sticks work so much better for me XP. But I suppose it can\'t be helped, right?

I\'ve never heard of WSAD before, can I just use my arrow keys?

Yes you can, although, many people find it easier to use w, a, s and d. Since those are the most common keys used to move in many other games.
