Yes, Planeshift is entirely free. Be warned though, this game is not fully completed yet.

Good luck NuGamer, but be aware that this game is not beta, not alpha but pre-alpha, so it\'s basically just a 3d chatroom right now. You can pick up gems and buy weapons with them though.
