After that youve installed it, a folder called Planeshift will be created. In it is a file called client. Use it to start PS, but dont forget to run the updater first!
Browsing the forums when I\'m bored, nothing more.

Errm here i\'ll tell you actually what happens when i do this.

I followed the instructions on http://www.planeshift.it

It says to double click run me first.bat
Then i have to run PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe

Well what happens is i double click run me first.bat and it shows this:

copy /b PSV0.2.010.Part1 + PSV0.2.010.Part2 + PSV0.2.010.Part3 + PSV0.2.010.Part4 + PSV0.2.010.Part5 PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe

After it shows that, what is the next step I do?

Please make it detailed.

Thnx

Another thing you may consider is that I put all the files in a folder called PlaneShift. will that cause any problems...?

Also when I click run me first.bat it says Finished at the top and it says <0 files copied>

Does that have to do with anything?

Is there not a new executable file called PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe in the same directory? This is the file that you run.

I am sorry if the following seems obvious to you, it\'s just that I want to make sure.

XxBoGiTyxX, it\'s strange, is that a COMMAND windows that opened when you double-clicked the run_me_first.bat script ? Or is it an editor ?

If it was a command windows, it should have shown somthing like :
Quote

PSV0.2.010.Part1
PSV0.2.010.Part2
PSV0.2.010.Part3
PSV0.2.010.Part4
PSV0.2.010.Part5
        1 file(s) copied.

Try somthing else : start a command windows (windows key + R, and type \"command\" if 98 or Me, or \"cmd\" if any brand of NT).
Change the directory to the one you\'ve downloaded the files into.
Type \"run_me_first\"

If the executable is still not there, you should have an error message, please report it here.

But I hope you will have it there, waiting for you  ;)

Good luck !

OMFG I HATE THIS!

I did what you said, and went on MS-DOS Prompt and typed run_me_first (I was on the same directory as my PlaneShift files were) and it says: Bad Command or file name
