Im just wondering. Looked threw the fourms, this game seems ok. Just wondering if its worth the time, found a link to somewhere and saw that only 7 clients were loged in. 7? Is this a Roleplaying games more like NwN? Can I get some info, you know, the stuff the guides wont tell you.

NEvermind to the above. I dled the game anyway. First I made a char and it was LinkDead. I did the fix listed for WinXp and it worked. I made a new char and was loging in, I cancled the first time and out it into full screen mode. Then, after waiting about 15 min at the loading screen I was in the game. I couldnt move or do anything or see my mouse, and every once in a while ((it seemed whenever I got a pop up)) some text would aprear and I would see people talking. But I myself couldnt talk, move, do anything. It just kept loading.... and after another 15 min, its been about 45 min now, I hit reset and came here to ask this question. IS IT ALLWAYS SO SLOW???!!!

If it was always so slow, nobody would play.

The first time you log in, PlaneShift thinks it has to reconfigure all of its files. terribly annoying, but sometimes it can take as long as 2 hours. The good thing is that it only happens once, though.

What are your system specs? More RAM always helps increase performance... but unfortunately, it\'s about the only thing you can try. The game is so early in development that even high-end machines have trouble playing it.

Just to point out that PlaneShift is not really a \'game\' yet in that it is still in the stages of development.  So the demo is pretty much just that, a demo of what things might look like in the future.   So if you are looking for a game to play then this may not be for you.  If you are looking to become part of a community and watch our path to success then that is a different matter .

Every day we are working on the new release and working hard to have more things for players to do and make PlaneShift more like a mainstream MMORPG.

Well, I might kind of watch and see how it goes. I dont have the time right now to just sit around and chat. Maybe when the Alpha comes out.
