I dont think it is (haven\'t tried in a couple of days though)...try putting in the ip: 203.81.47.74  instead of the server name planeshift.fragnetics.com

You can check the server availability from http://planeshift.fragnetics.com which is the main server webpage.

What are your system specs?
Do you have up-to-date graphics drivers?
Which mode are you running the game in?

Does it crash with a specific error message ?

I\'m not sure 128 MB of physical memory will be enough, this program takes much more. Even if you have enough virtual memory, you may experience a lot of swapping (hard-disk accessed all the time).

How much virtual memory do you have by the way ? Try to set this value to min=max=512 MB or more.

If you are able to read the main server webpage at http://planeshift.fragnetics.com then you should also be able to use planeshift.fragnetics.com as the server you connect to. The server that hosts the server website is the same one that hosts Planeshift itself. If your web browser can take you to the server website it means that Planeshift will be able to connect properly to the server.

Otherwise if it doesn\'t happen that way then using the IP address would be more helpful.

As a rule of thumb, DNS changes take a maximum of 3 days to propagate across the Internet, although this can be somewhat reduced. It\'s been longer than that now so I think that if you are still facing some problems it is quite unusual.

I would also recommend against using the IP address of the Planeshift server to connect whenever possible. In the unlikely event that we move Planeshift to another server it could be slightly troublesome to coordinate people who connect using IP addresses.

True, it\'s probably smarter to try the server name first, but so far I haven\'t been able to connect that way (I get server unreachable every time) and then when I put in the ip it works.
