Download PlaneShift via Peer-to-peer
« on: July 30, 2003, 06:49:24 pm »
I just wanted to point out the official installer is available as a single file download on most peer-to-peer programs.

Feel free to check this Bitzi page for eDonkey/eMule/Kazaa/iMesh/Gnutella & Co links.

It will be slower than using SourceForge, but resume is far better on peer-to-peer applications and you will grab a ready to launch setup program.

but you can\'t be sure, that it\'s the original one...
...it COULD be manipulated.8o

Is there an md5 sum for the windows (.exe) file available?

:rolleyes:Well I\'m pretty sure it isn\'t, but at least I wanted to have mentioned it.

Glad you speak about it.  :))

I know what is in the file, but of course you can\'t trust me so you don\'t know what is in it  :D

But the advantage of a Bitzi-like stuff is anyone you trust can confirm the file identity and so confirm the whole links at once  ;)

I will ask Talad to post that MD5 on the website (after verifying it) :-).

It could be interesting to post the MD5 digests of the 5 parts too, so that someone can tell correct ones from corrupted ones. Unfortunately, I don\'t have those parts anymore...

For the Windows users, a good tool to compute MD5 can be found at this link :

Thanks  ;)

For Windows ONLY: You can also check if the file you downloaded is exactly the same as the one we have here downloading this tool.
