Monketh's Tavern & Merchant Association
« on: August 02, 2003, 08:06:43 pm »
Monketh\'s Tavern & Merchant Association:

Well, I\'m not forming a guild. This is an idea disscussed on the forum. An association the issues seals of approval for Merchants & Taverns, a place to disscuss such things, and an issuer of titles.

Oh, and a gathering place for those who dwell there (cooks, musicians, rogues)

(yes the name can be changed)

I would like to give this wonderful idea the full support of Mirth Guild.  :)

What could be better after a long journey than a warm, cheerful inn?  A very Mirthful idea, Monketh!

I\'m planning to open a tavern myself in-game.  Could I join your association?

Most Certainly, Mr. Pint.  I\'m just looking for enough ppl right now to justify the effort of creating a message board.  I don\'t quite have seals to give yet  though :D .

Now hiring: Head Honchos, Managers, Members, and Assorted employees & minions

The pay is $0.00 by the way :P

You can\'t belong to multiple ingame guilds, but this isn\'t a guild anyway.

Exactly, because if it were a guild almost no one would join.  But this isn\'t a guild and will not be operated like one, we will make no allies or enemies*.  Just a place for disscussion, and business

*there will be two lists, one of trustworthy and approved traders, and one of nasty cheats, thieves, and scammers.

It was previously established as you can see.  But anyway I\'d suggest registering on the forums and sharing your ideas.  You can register at the site too and it should add your name.(or guild name)

Well done Dorbian! I really hope many of those who plan to play as merchants, cooks, tavern owners and the like take this up and begin to register at the Association.

Monketh the basic idea of the logo banner is good.  would change the black text into something lighter that reads better on the dark background though. Also you might want to try a font like old English (I\'m not sure what you used there) which will add to the feel and fit in very well with the theme.

Keep us updated, I\'m following this with great interest and rising enthusiasm.

well i made the banner to but i\'m not the graphical person i\'d rather have someone who creates the banner for us then i would have to do it.

but iused diabolical as the font but that is a bit out of place right now so if monketh agrees ( since it IS his site and idea ) i would like someone to recreate the banner.

I agree completely.
Anyway since you were asking about ideas for the marketplace, I kinda like it how it is.
You know, something like this:

Name of item:
Cost:
Enchanted/spec abilities:
Description:
Poster\'s or seller\'s/buyer\'s name:

in general.
