Trouble downloading Part 3

I\'ve got a problem with downloading the windows version part 3-- I tried at all the mirror sites, and the secondary sites, but none of them give me the right file size... I\'ve checked the forums/FAQ\'s, but haven\'t seen anything really helpful.

anyone know a solution to this?

try clearing your cache. Its just possible that the original corrupt file you downloaded is stuck in there for some reason. I doubt it but thats all I could think of

tried it... no good.

As far as I can tell, the download works perfectly until it reaches exactly 4.8 mb.

At that point, the download stops and says it is complete...

don\'t use a download manager, it can lead to problems. Don\'t use a proxy if you d/l the file, connect to the internet directly (may be a problem in their cache).

ok. How do I do that?

disable the proxy settings in your browser and switch to \"direct connection to the internet\" (or similar).

ok, this is very strange...

I\'ve done all that you suggested, to no avail.
I even had a friend download it and send it to me via msn, yet every single time the download fails at exactly 4.8 mb.

Perhaps I\'m just fated.... or does anyone else have an idea what may be wrong?

do you have enough disk space?
I can\'t explain that behaviour, since it worked for others.
Have you tried another server maybe the file is broken on the one you used so far...?(

I\'ve got more than enough disk space... and I\'ve tried every server and the secondary site.

The problem must be on my end, otherwise at least one of them must\'ve worked =/

If you got the \"save as\" window, rename the files and try to save it then....

Maybe try to disable all firewalls and anti virus softare for the time downloading...:rolleyes:

(These unexplainable things can only happen on a MS system...)
