There is a free MMORPG in beta called Wyvern, which can be located at http://www.cabochon.com . It does focus a bit too much on the killing side, though, but the quests are rather nice. In my opinion, anyway.

By the way, does anyone play chess around here? If so, then I challenge you to a game. Even if I lose horribly. Or we could play the Age of Wonders demo through e-mail, it doesn\'t really matter.

My goal is to keep Wyvern online for free. I\'m paying for it out of my own pocket. Unless the server and/or bandwidth costs become prohibitively expensive, I expect the game to remain free.

If you like Wyvern, it\'s possible for you to support us making a contribution. It doesn\'t have to be very much. But I think when you compare the playing experience of Wyvern to what you get for a $50 shrink-wrap game, or pay-to-play internet games, you may decide that Wyvern is better. So you should do the right thing. :-)

I play chess, unfortunately I don\'t really have the time to do it more intense, like learning openings, and tactical elements by heart.
