this may constitute a flame, and may get deleted... but take it from me, my guild is in pain... and a tremendous amount of planning, work, and forethought went into my guild. Imagine if i just decided to randomly start a guild w/o much planning... it would be disasterous. My advice: join a guild - you seem like someone who could do well in a guild but not as a leader... you simply arent (as far as i can tell, atleast) open minded enough. i say this only because youve rejected any constructive input anyone has given you. however, if you do decide to start your own guild, good luck to you. End of completely disorganized rant number 73462.

now that everyone said i can\'t do it i have to now :)
i think i got it all together now
the guild will accept any profession. more towards constructive professions, builder smithy forger... anything to do with making things are wanted more than strong weapon wielding heathens. the guild will protect it\'s ground but never to attack.  It is a merchantism guild. to make things others can\'t for a price of resources or other items.

Thats the spirit! Go ahead, do whatever you want to do, if your guild ends up folding in two days, it won\'t kill you.
A suggestion for you name- pick something in the Strongbad style of taking a cool souning word, and spelling it wierd, like limozeen!

Hmmm, lets see here, it might be too acurate since you are actually going to be trading, but the blatent fact that there are gnomes in PS more than makes up for it!

Well evanchild I\'ll give you this much, you sure have staying power! With all the criticism and advice to think it over before you continue you are still at it whilst most would have given up long ago.

What you have going for your idea is that there is not, to my knowledge - sorry if i step on any toes, a merchant or artisan guild. Sure there is a merchants association but the idea is exactly NOT to be a guild but an association that recognises established merchant, tavern owners etc by giving them a seal of approval if they meet certain criteria. It is aimed at individual players not Guilds. My advice is that you make it either a
  • Merchant guild
  • Artisan guild.

trying to incorporate both is too much and too  wide. A merchants guild would have members that set-up (at least intend to in-game when Crystal Blue comes out) shop all over the realm of Yliakum and work together as traders with each other.
An Artisan guild would be a collection of players who make weapons, jewelery, wagons etc. and they could  be situated in one place which would probably give some strength in unity.

Whichever one you choose go with one of them only. The advice by most given here is well intended, you should be aware of the fact that getting a guild up-and-running is no mean feat but it can be done with good ideas, initiative and drive. My advice is go for it, if it fails you can always join an existing guild.

I am sorry that some inconsiderate people are using your thread for their own personal messages to other guilds! X(  Most ppl in this forum respect other ppl\'s threads and use PM\'s for private messages, here\'s to hoping that we all will do so soon.
