lock up at loading world

every time i load the game, when it gets to instalizing world, it will go slow then a pop up will apear and say \"there has been an error in the file THING.dll\" i might just have a corrupted file, but i don\'t know.

don\'t ALT-TAB while loading, and just let the game sit there for a while, the first time you load it can take a loooong time... some have said up to 2 hours, so take a walk, or go eat something while it loads, and then come back and check on it regularly (just like baking :P)

umm.... even if i let it sit, it will still say there as been an error in thing.dll. is there something in the dll file that could make this stop happening?

You\'re probably missing a .dll-file. There is a thread on how to fix it here somewhere, cant remember where though.. :/

2 hours! I hope that is on a low speed internet connection. I have dsl that is about 240 kb/s. 2 hours is a long time, but i guess i could go and play PSO while it loads....

Thats only in extreme cases. For most people it will only take about 10 minutes, top.
