Hiya,

I thought this might be worth mentioning... a group of hackers seem to be targeting MMORPG game sites listed on www.mpogd.com. Two such victims are Mirage Online and Osinia.

As you can see, both sites have been completely wiped and their forums thrown offline... and needless to say, I\'m starting to worry about the safety of our community.

I don\'t know what\'s going on with these guys and I don\'t know what their aim is or who they are targeting, but I thought that people here should keep alert. Perhaps now would be a nice time you check your security measures, developers...

If this happens to PS, I hope those ****ers get castrated (Balls-Cut-Off) with a Sword of +8. :D

anyone know the name of this \"cracker\" group? if its script kiddies shouldn\'t be to hard to prevent against also some info on what they did to those other games would help in preventing attack here. Furthermore if we know who they are we can retaliate if they hit us :-) hehe I\'m sure there are enough hacker worthy among us to take them down.

P.S. Moogie the correct term is cracker not hacker but we knew what you meant.

I know it\'s cracker but everyone argues whenever I say that. So I just say \"hacker\" for the sake of understanding. :P

It looks like the initial damage to those two sites have been cleared up (you only receive a 404 \'Page Not Found\' error now). When I posted this thread, both sites had a huge image with a message from the two culprits... something along the lines of \"you thought we were joking, you have been ownz0red\" etc, signed by \'PC\' and someone else who I can\'t remember the name of.

As I said, I don\'t know anything about this, but as PlaneShift is listed on that site... methinks we should keep our eyes peeled. O.O

hmmm sounds like they threaten before they strike so I would think we will probably get a warning first

well i know how to crack a bit and i have alot of friends who actualy are really good at cracking and whenever they try to lay a finger on ps i\'ll go make some requests ( they\'re mmorpg players 2 ) :evil:
