Things you'll miss the most about the Molecular Blue Release
« on: August 23, 2003, 11:04:07 pm »
Post the things you\'ll miss about Molecular Blue, when the next release comes out, here.

1. Being able to jump from any height without damage.

2.  Walking up walls to get to hard to reach areas.

3. The \"Holy Crystal\" untouchable untargetable and otherwise unobtainable despite being in easy reach and view :-)
*Zaphar grins roguishly as he exits the post

Responding to the newb question \"How fght?\" with \"You don\'t\".

The elitism associated with owning a weapon.

Running around on rooftops \"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon\"-style. (Seriously, when I first showed my brother this game, he asked me if this was a \"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon\" MMO).

The relative newb vaccum that occurs once they figure out there\'s no combat... I\'m sure combat may keep some of the more \"undesireable\" players playing.

A monster-free Laanx dungeon... Hey, that reminds me, if they implement fall damage, how the heck are you going to get down there?

That\'s what I would like to know too.

I don\'t think I\'ll really miss much about Molecular Blue. Perhaps, \'it\', in its entirety... its atmosphere in paticular. I don\'t know how the enviroment and actual feel of the game will be affected by the addition of such things as combat and monsters in the labyrinths, but I\'m hoping it will be a great improvement over what we already have.

Right now, with a little custom change of music, the dungeon has a very ghostly silent, still mood... maybe I will miss this when the clash of swords can be heard echoing down every corridor and you can\'t camp on the balconies anymore awaiting the impending spawn of nearby crystals.

Elevator.  And yes I know combat brings about a huge fear in the kind of players and the number we are going to run into... they better have some plans for a bigger server handy...

Hey you cut my post off Moogie!  Oh and anyway, MB is going to be around a while so I wouldn\'t worry about this much.

Ninjas have feelings too.  Mostly they feel like dancing.

I know about the other entrance...But its a bit anticlimatic, as it comes out in the hall of pillars.

So true...We take MB\'s laid-back atmosphere for granted.  Imagine trying to find your way out of the dungeon while being pursued by a pack of no doubt frightening and vicious creatures.  Definatly going to be difficult for the newbs, unless they hired experienced guides (hint, hint).

On the mainpage they refer to a sort of elevator-system. Dunno if it\'ll be implented though :)

No, there\'s been no offical statement on that front, to my knowledge.  I wouldn\'t be surprised if they didn\'t implement fall damage in CB, but I was thinking in the eventuallity ... Anyway, blame Zaphar!

Even if CB will be superior in some ways, MB should be a thing we cherish.  Never again will PS be the same; in what ways it will differ, we\'ll just have to wait and see.  I certainly know over these past few months I\'ve had a great time with all of you, and I hope I can enjoy the following months (and years) with all of you, as well.

It seems inevitable. As soon as combat arrives, many of the annoying people with short, shallow attention spans will end up sticking around to get on our nerves... it happens in every game, it\'s unavoidable.

But as long as we all stick together through the rush of new faces, it\'ll be okay. A very close community, is ours, and as long as we have that strong foundation then I\'m sure we can keep the place as happy and peaceful as it\'s always been. :)
