I propose to the developers that there will be a possibility for players themselves to create buildings* and have them added to the game.
The way I see it could work would be as follows:
. developers publish a set of technical and stylistic requirements.
. a player spends half a year designing and modelling his/her building
. developers check the building
. developers place the building somewhere on the map, as they see fit
. a player may choose to have the building for themselves, or
. a player may choose to give it away (ie public domain or whoever wants to live there)
Anyway, there are two important points here:
1st such contribution will enrich the game, because I suppose we cannot expect the developers to keep building the city on and on and eventually make something so huge that\'s enough for everyone.
2nd such system will allow the players to express themselves - I mean how fun is it to be a player with unique name N, race R shared amongst thousands and skin S shared amongst hundreds? - if a player could at least design how his/her sword looks like (and it could be functionally equivalent to a standard sword), others will at least be able to recognise the player. (same for all small items, and, well, housing).
What do you think?
