Actually the game is really not PvP since there is no fighting, no monster

For later, devs and players discusses in another forum if there will be PvP or PK. As far as i know there will be PvP (guild wars, players duel) but not PK (newbie hunt, murders...).

In the broadest sense of the word, yes, PS is PvP at the moment.  You see, PvP and PK isn\'t the same thing; PvP doesn\'t even imply combat (ATitD is PvP, in a way).  The PvP element present in the game at this time is the Crystal Hunt.

We all wait for the next release which will provide fighting. It may come before the end of the current year...

oops, i didn\'t know that PvP includes non-fighting competitions. I have learned something today :-p

Actually there should be an arena and pvp competitions in Crystal Blue, according to Moogie Surveillance and Intelligence. :P

You could use a Diablo 2-like system where both players must be hostile towards each other before they can engage each other. Except of course this system would only be used in the world itself.

Arena fights and competitions would automatically become full PvP of course, so that everyone would be able to engage each other.

Or... you could use a certain system where you turn PK on and off.
Example, Bob kills John Doe, but wants to stop PKing for today and is forced to wait for 15 minutes (Just an example) before he can turn PKing off again.

... in d2 both dont have to be hostile... people walk in and rape me and my pathetic low levels characters all te ime.. kinda why i stonrgly hate diablo 2 with a passion

Yeah...but CB isn\'t released yet, and it will be a while even for that

Methinks Kiern is right ( for a change :D ) ... Even if PvP arenas and competitions are to be made (they will be made, don\'t worry), I believe the Oh-So-Famous-And-Loved Dev. team won\'t bother with PvP or PvP arenas until more of the other game aspects are done - like the game itself, just to make an example. :P
