initializing world
« on: September 22, 2003, 07:04:23 pm »
I logged in only twice.
Almost every time I try client stops working during initializing world...
it takes like 4-10 minutes, than program either lets me into play or stops working.
It stops in 3 different ways:
1. a communicate from windows that it made a wrong operation and will shut down
2. stops everything on my computer and reqires a hard reset
3. most common, just stops working and do not answer
What\'s wrong?
Is the client not fully compatible with Win98?
Perhaps my cpu don\'t match hardware reqirements?
(I can\'t find them listed anywhere on a page I would appreciate listing them or giving a link as reply)

There\'s not really any specific requirements, other than a tonne of RAM. I\'d say no less than 256mb, but it varies.

On your first login the game can take up to 2 hours to initialise the world, as it must recalculate its lighting... stuff... to your machine.

Any time after that it should only take a few minutes at most. What are your system specs?
