Underworld Movie
« on: September 23, 2003, 06:53:26 am »
I saw the Underworld Movie and I think it rocked, off course there should\'ve been more hand combat though. I though it was cool, Kate Beckinsale was hot in that movie, dude like her image was stuck in my head for hours.

yeah, she was cool
but that blue guy at the end was ugly.  he was too ugly.
he made me think of the incredible hulk.
it was cool that he was fast, but he was just too ugly and scrawny looking, and he had a messed up rib cage thing.
and that sword was too sharp.
and the visual effect caused by that sharp sword was not needed in this film.
the effect is becoming overused... though, it worked in Resident Evil.
looking forward to Resident Evil 2 as seen in the previews.
oh, and that one guy reminded me of Kain from the game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

all in all, it was an ok movie.
it was pretty good.
not the greatest, but I liked it.

I heard it was a great movie, not that I\'ve seen it. Someone said that it had bad over-acting though, which spoilt it somewhat.

All I know is that it\'s a sword/gun slinging action movie revolving around the ongoing ancient war between Vampires and Werewolves in modern times.

trying not to give too much away vampires and liekans (warewolfs) are at war, well basically the vampires are slowly wiping out the liekans, but then suddenly to vampires amazements seems theres more leikans out there than thought and that they are more than able of fighting back.
Leikans have idea that involves needing certain dude, vampire bird falls in love with this dude... cant really give nexxt lot away, and then finally the only 2 ppl who were actually pretty cool die in the end, THE END

(sorry couldnt say too much without giving things away =/)

SPOILER
(anyone else think that Lucian should have at least been alive to see the death of Victor?)

There I was thinking you wern\'t going to give any important details away... now I know the ending, I\'ll just wait till this movie is on TV- not worth paying for it anymore. :(

Well, if you look at a thread about a movie, you have to expect a spoiler or two ;)

Yeah I expected that of course, just wasn\'t ready to have the ending revealed by someone who was trying to \"not give anything away\". :P

Any other details would\'ve been fine... but the ending? :(

That is a bit annoying, shame on you, Kwartz the Ill.  But a movie is about the journey; if the ending was the point, we could condense most of these movies into 5 minute trailers and you\'d get the gist of it.  I don\'t get movies anyway, I just can\'t bring myself to waste 1/12 of a day (Not to mention over $10), to watch what usually turns out to be some over-hyped mindless dribble; I\'ve been proven wrong on a number of occasions, though (ex. The Matrix, now that one surprised me).  I usually just wait until they come out on DVD, they don\'t cost much more than movie admission, and they generally have much more content (not to mention by that time, I usually know if the movie is any good.)  But that\'s just me, and I\'m not exactly normal...

Anyway it was all a joke, the 2 don\'t die, they live happily ever after (not that I\'ve seen this movie).  There, so you can go and watch the movie now, Moog. ;)

Lol u miss understand me, Ur trying to find details that arnt there, anyone whos seen the movie will know what i mean, i mean the two \'COOLEST\' ppl die, which is imho, and they dont even die at the end really.

The ppl who ur thinking of the main ppl..well im not gonna comment on that. But no its two OTHER ppl who im on about, one of whom is sort of a secondary/third party character and not at all important. Stop trying to find details of what its about in my words coz theres none there, at least none that will make sense till uve seen it.

now you\'ve gone and clarified, Kwartz, giving more information away. :P

The story:
Unbeknownst to mankind, an underground war has existed between vampires and werewolves for centuries.
But how did this war start?
Why are they fighting?
And who are the good guys?

Interesting, no?
Traditional weaknesses apply: sunlight and silver bullet, respectively.  But each are used uniquely.

p.s. I didn\'t notice any overacting.

Grakrim:
Every film is art.  And it\'s usually not the same on the small screen.

Well I liked the movie but it was even better knowing that Kate Beckinsale was so hot. I don\'t think it\'s possible for anyone to be any hotter than that (In my opinion).
