What I Think Of PS So Far...

I\'ve just started this game (like a lot of you on the newbie board) and I\'d like to say somethings about PS as I have played many of these kinds of games.

Pros -
1.For a free MMORPG, this game\'s visuals are stunning...
2.Nice RPG interface and system (I recognise a few Baldur\'s Gate ripoffs like Traps and Magic schools)...
3.Good array of races...

Cons
1....but are too laggy and take forever to load
2....not very unique, same stuff as D&D
3....wacky names that are far too exotic

...And for Pete\'s sake! Get a combat system in this game, some items, leveling, roleplaying, and some action in this game!!!! (It\'s only in early stages, i know, but you can\'t help getting mad)

Yeap - Planeshift\'s graphics are ever improving and are currently better than many of the lead mmorpgs

I\'m afraid you are mistaken there - Why should you atribute schools of any type to Baldurs Gate?  \'Schools\' are simply a way of organizing things.  Whether or not Baldurs Gate also used schools to tstick to the fantasy theme is irrelevant.

I agree there - although truthfully I ahve a couple races in mind which I would like to see later on once the development process has slowed down and the devs feal as if we have more free time to explore such possibilities (AKA not anytime soon)

you say you have played many of \'these types of games\'... you obviously arnt referring to \'many\' Alpha stage games.  I have played many games that are in Beta (or even gold) that lag worse than Planeshift does.

where are you from?  Do you have any idea how international this project is?  Many of our developpers are European - ranging from Italy and France to the Scandanavian countries etc. etc; just because a name sounds strange to you doesn\'t mean it is bad.

I could respond to this by saying \'search\' the forums... however I feal like being useful so I\'ll clue you in that the next version of Planeshift, which is called Crystal Blue, will contain everything you just asked for in a rudimentary (if not exponentially greater way than Molecular Blue) sort of way.

I sort see this as getting mad at the Sun because it\'s 2 am and it has not risen yet.  Things will come but take time.... If you want to help out the game then join the IRC channel and we can see what you can do to help move those things along.

I will lock this now because it can only go downhill from here.
