Let me hear some of the points (other than a catching story, because just about all rpg\'s I\'ve played have had that) then...

IMO, FF sucks, because it has so little rpg gaming... It\'s just run around, solve some moronic puzzles, do combat in the most ugly way I\'ve ever seen, and carry swords four times your own size... It might just be me, but I don\'t think that stuff makes more than a parody..

The term RPG get\'s tacked onto everything, when most really are RWG\'s, especially on the console.  It\'s just a matter of a tradeoff between emergent and scripted gameplay, except it\'s existed in that genre for a long time, whereas it\'s now just an issue in other types of games.  FF VII is a revolutionary RWG, if only for it\'s cinematics and graphics, that brought the genre into the mainstream, which I don\'t think is a bad thing.  But Chrono Trigger is still the best game ever.

Oh and about the movie, don\'t really care, overall the game had one of the worst casts in FF history.  Well then again all the character casts on the Playstation have overall been marginal except the amazing cast of FF IX.

no, seriously, I don\'t think the game has any of the values I like in a good rpg.. But still, that\'s only my oppinion (backed by many others, of that I have no doubt :rolleyes: ) :P

i think seperot looks like the perfect goth here a perfect rolemodel for me i really adore him on that pict.

and in my opinion FF VI and VII are the best i can\'t decide between the two of them but the best rpg every is planeshift :) and zelda is a great rpg too

Final fantasy isn\'t exactly striving to get close to them, and therefore I would never call them Rpg\'s but rather Rwg\'s as wedge called them...
