« on: October 13, 2003, 06:46:40 pm »
Currently in planshift there isnt much to do, so in the meen time i guess ill go find another game to play.

Can you people name some games for me please?

P.S. what is \"the game that shall not be named?\"  I hear people say that alot and why is the game called that?

Runescape = Runescape. Evil arch nemesis of PlaneShift. ;)

One of the most complete MMORPG lists on the net currently is http://www.mpogd.com. You should check it out, it\'s where I found PS. ;)

Hah. Once Planeshift gets a little more functionality, the game-that-is-not-to-be-named will die a horrific and agonizing death.

what are u talking about? Arch nemesis of R00nscape?  When this gets rolling no one will be playing r00nescape anymore.  I don\'t even like R00nscape.  It\'s a game that\'s been around since before my grandpartent\'s grandparents were around and it\'s lived way past its time.

http://www.tibia.com

Has been hacked lately, forums are still down, but game is up again.

Don\'t expect much reguarding graphics , though (and don\'t even think about sound) :D

To live, seeking death is a pointless endevour. But to die, seeking life, is a warriors greatest dream. Soon, all will know the name of Skaarj Der\'akoon

Runesc@pe was fun in the beginning, when there were very few servers (only one, to be precise)... Just ask Washi, if you ever meet him on IRC. He always has a few fun stories to tell about his old RS days. :D

Well, we could use some help, if you are looking for something else to do.

I hope this is not inappropriate or anything.  If it is, I apologize.

I have a MMORG project going that is in open alpha, much like Planeshift is.  Anyone is free to come by and take a look.  We could really use testers!

But I warn you, if you think PS is in Alpha, wait until you get a look at us :) We aren\'t nearly at the level of progress PS is.  But we do have a server, and you can make an account and log in and chat with anyone else who is there and move around the landscape.

Our 3D engine is in its early stages.  The landscape isn\'t yet textured and lighting is primitive.  We have a single landblock you can walk around on.  To be honest, we\'re pretty much a glorified chat room at the moment, heh.

Anyway, we can use more testers, to be sure!  The site is http://www.rjcyberware.com and the game is \"Sovereignty\".  You download a Laucher (only a couple of hundred K) which then downloads the client files (about 2 megs at the moment, I think).  After the initial download, you will automatically download any updated files as they become available (no further web downloading should ever be required).

I\'d really appreciate anyone who wants to come by and find bugs for us.

Best of luck with your project, RonHiler. I took a look at the website and your ideas struck me as ambitious and intriguing. I\'ll certainly see if I can visit the world and have a little play around. :)

I once tried roo... rooo... ruins-cape.  It was really depressing.  I think PS has wayyy much more to offer in the long run.  Plus there is no free version/kinda paying version/full access version.

Once I learn more about graphic arts (self learner here), I will be offering my services.  If I ever talk my wife into a T1 line (closer than most think), I will set up a server or two and offer them too!

You wont ever see anything like player loyalty like THAT over at rooinsky-cape.
