This topic is about implempeting assasins which i want to be

Advantages

Enjoyable- you get alot of fun by killing pepole that will never see you again unless you get alot of cash
Money- You could get lots of emerals or money by assasinating things

Dissadvantages
Reputation- After a few kills pepole will get to know you and will run as soon as they see you
Life expectancy- If you try to kill people then they will try to kill you so you would have to be good at runing

  All PvP activity will require the approval in some fashion of both parties, whether it is stepping into an arena, agreeing to a duel, or participating in a guild war. If the other player doesn\'t agree and the first player attacks, guards and gods will stop that fight in such a way that attackers will be scared even to think to attack someone else.

So this would have to be removed if you where killed by stealth

So you have skills but no classes, you can call yourself a Assasin, but nothing probably in you stats will say \"Assasin\".

The PK problem is indeed a big one. If a over-skilled assassin kills all newbie each time they respawn, the game will be no more fun for them.

But backstabing NPC and monsters is definitely a good idea. As far as i know, some assassin skills are already planned (backstabing, traps...)

Yes but the point is if you want to mould your char into such a character or even if your guild requires such a character then you are stuck.

UNLESS, something could be implemented to allow people to assasinate others if they are being paid a large sum for it by a third party. So somebody wants a Player assasinated they cant just walk upto them and kill them they have to hire another player to carry out the attack which temporarily disables the PvP restrictions between the assasin and the target and his guards (Hence the assasin can be killed in the attempt)

Another point raised is that of becoming a known assasin, whilst this is good to gain new clients it is bad when trying to nullify your target, for this a disguise skill could be added for each char so that they could disguise there name with a false one at will. Although there would have to be some way for people to recognise them such as a high perception skill could cause the real name of the assasin to be uncovered.

Im hoping to be an assassin too and I like ur idea, one question though the \'by stepping into an arena\' does that mean gladiatorial combat (fingers crossed)

i hate pk outside a arena and i hate assassins all together because someone could pay someone to kill someone else for no reason

Well firstly ASSASSINS RULE and secondly the person who is paying should have a valid reason (guild war, he started it, he stole my lolipop)  and a GM would decide if the reason is good enouhg.  Assassins would cost a lot though especialy amazing ones like Waylander.  But, NO NPC ASSASSINS, I would lose my job :(

Thats why the prices need to be high, that way somebody needs one hell of a grudge to spend all that money to have you killed. If something like this wasn\'t implemented you would get people running around being a\'holes and refusing an arena combat but instead really annoying people and in extreme cases not even rp\'ing just flaming.

Yeah id like to mention that assassination should be in every game as it has been around forever, I dont care how you do it as long as u do.  And always come to the mercinairies or hire the flamewarriors assassin.

I was just thinking some other guilds may want to use there own assasins from inside there own guilds.

An interesting idea, though since PvP will be limited to arenas and guild wars (and the whole stealth deal probably doesn\'t work too well in a packed arena  :( ), they will probably only be useful in guild wars.  Which...could occur on a regular basis, depending on who your guild is.  Though if your guild has an official assassin(s), my bet is you\'ll be in wars a lot  ;)

I have had another idea what if the assasin is outside that rule and can be atacked without wanting it but can also atack others without warning I mean with no interference from the gods or the gaurd.

There will be no open PK, and it would be poor to be an assassin without it, unless you\'re in a guild-war. But there could be some random assassin-missions included so that the assassin-skills could come of use.
