oh sorry: i meant: Planeshift lag has nothing to do with network (in the Molecular Blue version (current version), dunno about Crystal Blue, which is next release)

edit: connection and network have nothing to do with PS lag ;)

Here\'s a thing i heard (not tested though):
You must create your char in less than 30s or server will drop you. So try to create your char faster

If that happens, you must go here: http://planeshift.fragnetics.com/admin/form.html
and delete your account. Then recreate another quicker

It\'s so hard to buy video card around my place. Especialy I dont have any bread... :(

I was planning to buy a better video card for my pc.
Can someone suggest the cheapest video card that will work with PS? I have..I think a 16 or 32MB ATI graphics card. I saw this preowned ATI RADEON 9000 in a flyer here for $80. What do you think? This is my specs...

Intel Celeron 1300 Ghz
128SD Ram
16/32 ATI graphic card.

Somebody\'s gonna buy me more ram this year so dont worry bout my ram. Just help me out with the graphics pls.
I believe that everyone can make a difference no matter how small or big it is.

Look around a little for video cards. I have seen GeForce 4 cards for as low as 50 bucks USD after rebates and those are brand new. Also saw a brand new ATI 9000 for 80 bucks. Take a look at how much RAM you are getting when you get a new video card too.

Think I saw those prices on Outpost and Directron

Didnt search too much I am sure there are cheaper ones out there to be found then that too.

Hehe -.-...

for that price you could buy a \"gf4-ti-4200\" or a \"radeon 8500\" wich is more powerful then your metioned card. They both cost around the same price you said...like 80-100 bucks.I?d recommend the \"gf4-ti-4200\"...and if youre lucky...you?ll find on even under 80$

Marshall

Edit:shit...came too late -.-\"

oh and IF you choose a GF4...then DONT go for the \"MX\" series!!! they use a upgraded/modified \"Gf2\" chip...

I think I\'m going to have 128 Ram. If that\'s still slow it\'s easy to buy ram anyway...

The problem is, I dunno if the video card you mentioned is compatible with my motherboard. I just want to be sure if Im gonna buy a new video card, coz I dont wanna come back to the store and all.

Alright I browsed around and here\'s what I got...

ATI Radeon 9000 64Mb - $59.00
GFORCE4 MX 420 64Mb - $59.00
GFORCE4 MX 440          - $69.00
ATI Radeon 9000Pro - $89.00

I dont know the difference between these cards..

Easy...

the \"radeon9000pro\" ist the fastest of all those cards...and like i said before...DONT buy a \"gf4-MX\" !!!!! buy a \"gf4-ti-4200\" (much more powerful then your mentioned cards) ...IF those other cards you mentioned are compatible to your mainboard then the \"gf4-TI-4200\" will be compatible to your mainboard too!

Marshall

Edit:

if you would tell me what kind of mainboard you?ve got it would be alot easier...

Those GeForce 4\'s are about as powerful as my GeForce 2...but more buggy. Since PS doesn\'t like Radeons, I suggest the same thing Marshall said: GeForce 4-TI-4200

Yeah I would also suggest looking for a GeForce 4 Ti. I have a GeForce 4 MX on one of my computers and the thing is pretty much crap for gaming but since i am just using that computer as a file and print server it wasnt such a big deal. Definetly look around and see what you can find on the Ti.
