I\'ve wasted half my day trying to get this damn alpha tech demo working so plz reply to my problem.
I first had the player creation problem with the link dead, fixed it by activating the udp port on internet connection sharing (i am getting an internet connection from my dads comp that has no firewall) and putting the ip instead of the name.
now i have a problem where i connect to the server and i have to start waiting for it to finish \'initializing the world\' (i know it can take about 2 hours on first connection). So i wait and after 10 mins it gives me an error saying something like \'you are link dead from the server, plz visit the forums\' ( i aint waiting another ten mins to see what it say)
pleassssssssssssssssse help cos i havn\'t found this problem newhere on the forum. (then again i havnt looked hard)
Also i don\'t see how it could help but my specs are:
win 98 se
geForce fx 5600 256-ram
512 pc3200 ram (ddr 400)
Asus a7n8x mother board
^onboard sound
Athlon 2700+ 2.1* ghz (everone says it\'s diffrent speeds)
cant think of nething else so ill just give my brain a rest from thinking of a solution.
