I am sorry to bring up this semi-dead topic, but I feel that it has unfairly diminished Mirth\'s popularity. I will merely state the facts in the matter of my attempt to recruit Defenders members. Most of them can be easily verified by checking the following link:
http://defenders.board.dk3.com/2/viewtopic.php?t=30 1) Immediately after Draklar left Defenders I PMed him offering any and all help I could give to the remaining Defenders members. I offered to aid them in rebuilding their guild.
2) I received no reply to this PM, and assumed that Drak was ignoring me as part of his new evil RP. I therefore decided to make my offer public on the Defenders forums. There, all the remaining members could see it, and hopefully let me know what was going on.
3) The replies I got over the next 4 days said either that Defenders was dead, or that Defenders was dying. With Draklar not bothering to talk to me, I thought this information was correct.
4) Seeing that Defenders was dead, I offered all remaining members spots in Mirth.
5) Draklar announced several days later that the remaining members were in fact discussing their rebuilding on their member forums. I accepted this and let the topic rest.
As I said, any of these (except for my PM to Drak) can be verified by taking a look at the link. I have a couple of questions regarding this issue, however:
Why did Zabeal not know of the discussion in the Defenders member forums, or that these forums in fact EXISTED?
Why did Draklar wait 8 days after his last post on the Defenders forum thread before he brought this up on the Planeshift forums?
(The answer to this is fairly obvious, in my opinion. He posted it the day after I left for England, probably assuming that I would not be available to offer any response.)
It appears, at least to me, that this was an attempt to make me look \"evil\" by ignoring some key facts.
I just wanted to explain what went on, and ask the sensible members of this community to see the truth in this matter.
My initial offer of support and aid to the surviving Defenders remains, and will remain for as long as there are those among them who wish to rebuild their guild.
