Well, anyone playing/going to play it?
Me and a few of my friends have been thinking about quitting daoc and start playing another mmorpg, now I\'d like your opinions.

I would love to play FFXI. I\'m a huge FF fan, and the game looks very sweet.

I visited the website yesterday and saw what my Moogie character would look like. One of the cat people, of course :) with white fluffy hair and a cute smile.

Unfortunately, I doubt I\'ll be able to ever play. Both myself and my parents don\'t accept pay-2-play games.

This is the only reason that will stop me from playing the only Final Fantasy game I\'ve never had the privilege of trying.

Woe is me... here\'s hoping XII has a single player option.

FFXI looks great, but I think I\'ll hold off until I see some reviews (I\'m not going to let another SWG happen to me...).  Although the world pass system is annoying... If you don\'t know, you\'re assigned to a random server on character creation, and to select a server you must get someone to buy you a world pass (a very expensive item, based on the number of players on the server) that allows you to play on their server, worse yet, world passes expire after 1 week.  Fortunatly, in the US version they allow 5 people to join on 1 world pass; so I\'m thinking of starting a world pass group of 5 people.  These group members will, of course, have to pay back whoever buys the world pass for us.

Anyone considering getting FFXI in the next month or two want to join this group?

Oh, and Moogie, FFXII will be completely offline, or so they say.  I don\'t know why they chose to call this FFXI instead of Final Fantasy Online, or FFV Online...

I think they made a mistake making it Pay-2-play... I would get it in a heartbeat if it wasn\'t. I don\'t have cash enough to pay monthly, or I wouldn\'t be playing PlaneShift ;)

Do you have any idea why they charge cash? It costs quite a bunch of cash to keep a staff developing, patching. To not mention he bandwidth. Perhaps not 13$, but still.
