Patience, players, patience!

I\'m working as hard as I can to get this rolling.

In two days I\'ve put up a fully functional website and I have begun a thread to announce what I feel necessary to post about the guild. Anyone who wishes to understand the movement can visit the website  and find out all that they want.

The point of simply announcing it is as follows:
(a) the intention is to generate interest, and having them visit the site may get them interested much more than a BB post, as well as the fact that I\'ve put a lot of work into the site, and it would defeat the purpose to have no one go there.

and (b) it is more in-character on the site. Since it\'s all about role-playing, it is best left to the site, not the forums, to be discussed.

IT IS TIME!!

The preliminary work on the Guild of Ciphers is finally complete. The website , except for a bug in the .cgi script on the application, is complete and should be growing every day. The work in-game is finalized. So here\'s what we need from players:

OOC: Although the guild structure is basically complete, the first thing we\'re going to have to do is get members. I\'m looking for a core group of players to help further the philosophy and make the Ciphers guild a reality. What I am going to start doing is conducting interviews of who will be the charter Councilmen, the top three officers in the guild at its founding.

InC: The Transcendent Order\'s philosophy is not an easy path to follow, and it is difficult to explain, especially to those outside the ranks. There are three positions available. The most basic principle in our philosophy is that thought is only hesitation. Act without thinking.

If you would like to explore the ways this affects combat, the Grand Marshal (the Factor Lieutenant of War) is the officer concerned with directing the guild\'s combat training. This is the position to take in order to immerse yourself in the combative side of the philosophy.

If you would rather look at the philosophy itself, rather than combat as a single facet, then the Shaman (Factor Lieutenant of Ritual or Ritualist), may be for you. The Shaman is concerned with the philosophy itself, not just a single aspect of it.

Not at all concerned with the philosophy but wanna help out still? The Minister (Factor Lieutenant of Affairs) has more to do with guild business and politics than the fleshing out of the guild teachings.

I went to the site but didnt look at anything cause I was playing with that sig thingy.  ohh pretty water. nice site btw, I think.
Later during that very fine day:  ooooh pretty site, I knew my mouse was a lying bastard how could I have ever believed it??? yeah so after about ten minutes I finaly decided to click on the screen then press the letter.  And I came into the light, if I wasnt in a guild and that guild didnt exist then Id join urs.

I am glad to know that there are those who still view this thread seriously even though a few Cabali intruded and made it inane. It seems \"flame warriors\" and Cabal should exchange names, since Cabal is a term from PlaneScape meaning one with a bleak view of the universe, and our Cabal view life as not pointless but as their personal playground for their childish antics. Perhaps the Flame Warriors could adapt so the Cabali could have that name. After all, they only start random Flame Wars. Have they done anything else of merit?
