Can I get some help please?

Ok, I have run a search through this forum and found no real information on how to fix this or what to do.

I get through the creation of character part and then click on connect, it attempts to connect then says:
The server is not running or is not reachable

I have checked and the server is running
I am connected to the internet
I have completely turned off my anti virus program
I dont have a firewall up

I am using Windows ME
256 mg Ram
I am using a 2 wire, two computers hooked up to dsl through a 2 wire gateway.

Please let me know what to do,

Well... I know little/nothing about what you\'re talking about there with that 2 wire gateway, but it sounds like it may be the same principle as connecting through a LAN network?

In which case you must make sure that the PC that is directly connecting to the Internet does not have a firewall, or is allowing UDP access through port 13331 of any firewall or router which it may be using.

is the one you are playing on the host or the client?

This would be the client
The other computer has the actual software for the 2 wire on it.
I dont know anything about proxys or stuff.  My dsl can hold up to ten computers on it, basically its on a router for two computers, the main phone line goes into it, theres two ethernet cables, one leading to the computer with the software and one leading to the second computer.  The second computer is my main computer I use.  

I will try hooking it up strait to the line as soon as I find a phone cord long enough to reach.

Ok, I deleted the Character and uninstalled, then reinstalled, started all over, typed in the ip and its starting now, I will wait for the \'godonlyknowshowlong\' time for it to initialize world lmao.  Thank you for your help, if i have another problem I cant find a solution to I will post it in this thread to prevent having multiple threads.
