Well, I\'d somewhat disagree in an RPG because if you don\'t let alignment define actions every once in a while and let it be sort of a role-playing tool, you\'ll never develop the character because you\'ll always be playing your own alignment in RL.

About the whole RP alignment thing, Savion is Chaotic evil because he acts that way, not because he said \'Well, Savion is chaotic evil but Savion doesn\'t act it\'

I\'m saying if you\'re a devout Christian in real life maybe play something other than a devout lawful-good cleric? And to do that you say \"I\'m going to be chaotic evil\" and act that way. You act the way you align yourself, or you\'re just playing yourself, and that\'s no fun.

It\'s fine either way you do it, really, but your way is a bit more restrictive in some cases. If you want to play an alignment totally opposite to what you would normally do in RL, the easiest way IMO to do it is to say, for instance, \"chaotic evil\" and act that way. That\'s your starting point and you develop from there.

Changing alignments is something that happens naturally in the course of a character\'s lifetime occasionally, but you can\'t just change alignments every time you feel like it or you\'ll end up playing an overall alignment you don\'t understand.

I usually try to stick with one alignment and if I start changing I think long and hard about why. Usually it\'s not an in-character reason. One time and one time only have I had an alignment change with a well-developed character: a thief who slowly progressed from chaotic good to neutral evil.

I was just wondering what you meant by invoking Shade Knights as your allies here when they don\'t exist in PS. As for your making claims of equipment when you haven\'t even been inside the game, um... self-explanatory.

And actually we were discussing over and over your statement about how the Mirth guild was not in position to criticize your guild as their alignment forbids it.

Alignment forbids nothing.
The Mirth guild is not a single person.
Anyone of any alignment can criticize what they don\'t like.
