Antiflag bug me... they define themselves by what they aren't but they don't really stand for anything.  And they pick easy targets to attack.  There's nothing truly rebellious or controversial about them.

What do they mean by "emo", anyway?  Husker Du?  Indian Summer?  Jawbreaker?  Dashboard?  Fugazi?  SDRE?  Moneen?  Good Charlotte?  Mercury Revolution?  Bright Eyes?  Deathcab?  Centromatic?  Burning Airlines?  Fugazi?  All these bands get called emo and they don't sound like one another...

They really don't need to sound like each other, so much as the way they look, and what they sing about.

But I don't care.

Right, because the kind of music you play is defined by the clothes you wear.  The bands I listed don't "all sing about the same thing" in any meaningful sense.  You can't define music by that stick because there are love songs in every genre, political songs in every genre, etc.

By emo, i'm guessing it's the current dark hair, covers 3/4 of the face, blah blah image mcr p!atd lot.

Well, Anti-Flag's last album, took a pretty anti war stand there's no denying. Wherever they're coming from it's great music esp watch the right and 911 for peace. Born to die too... I think its the passion/energy (not sure if they're the right words, but you see what i mean) that i really like about them rather than lyrics/meanings even though they're still good too.

(rambling a little, yeah.)

I don't make the 'lables' buddy, just saying how people define music, which you can't argue with, because they do.

I love all three of these guys and seeing them play together is amazing. Avishai Cohen is one of the coolest bassists I have ever heard. He kicks arse. As for the other two, The Bad Plus' rendition of Karma Police by Radiohead is utterly amazing. Taking such a popular song and with almost destructive preformance add a whole new layer to the music with improvised sections and a huge range of dynamics. Beautiful. I'm not sure what this particular tune is, just that its brilliant. Too bad the quality isn't better though.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(
