punkrock is the way to go ppl ;) but it seems like most ppl here wouldnt agree...

I agree 100%.  And I created the thread, so that counts for something right?

If you like punk rock I would suggest these two bands:

Gaslight Anthem
Polar Bear Club

Amazing new bands, and I can safely say better than 80% of "established" bands.  PBC are somewhat more polarizing but I have yet to meet a person who dislikes Gaslight Anthem...I more or less force everyone I meet to listen to some new band I've found, so this is not something I say lightly.

If you happen to ever read this thread again (something I doubt), is there a Lagwagon cd you would suggest?  I actually have Blaze but it's 2 hours away and I never got around to listening to it but have wanted to for a while.

hehe, yes i am actually coming back here...
going to tune in to some gaslight anthem at last.fm

hmm well it depends a bit on what kind of songs you like... i think i enjoy Double Plaidinum the most, but this is propably influenced by my live experience with most of the songs. Blaze is also nice if you enjoy some calmer songs

Alright Dvorak and Debussy! I can't say I care too much for the 'normal' music though. I mean did you see how Kanye butchered The Eraser? Horrible! Rap just doesn't work over it.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

ALI PROJECT: Putting a Japanese twist to the Neo-Classical
Bjork: the Queen of Quirky!
Murray Gold: Macro Beltrami's (would-be) contender!
Combichrist: Aggressively... wasted
Yoko Kanno: Giving other Japanese composers a run for their money!
Origa: From Russia, sings Japanese occasionally
Yousei Teikoku: Convincing you that Spiritua does exist :)
Now armed with extra karma!
