And another thing that may or may not have been considered:  Guild names!!!

They should definitely be protected!  And due to the relatively small number of serious guilds, this would be fairly easy too!  I would be majorly upset if someone took the name \"Mirth Guild\"

Oh, alright, I thought you meant putting in a password for CB

If there is going to be a sign-up list, ya\'ll would have to announce it a month before it happens for ppl like me. LOL (Moogie, you know how I am with not checking forums) I just want to keep my name.......been using it for three months and it would be weird talking to some1 named Faldrok. *shudders at the thought*

I hope sth happens to fix it too. Not that lynx is so ununique, but there would be a big confusion if 5 incarnations wandered the PS world.

Oh yea, u are totally right with reserving the names!
Altough we cant keep our items ( with good enough  reasons) i would at least like to keep my name. I did not create a story for my Character and then i am not able to play it...
I would say this \"list\" thing shall be done!
But this information shall be on PS site, cause for example me: i dont check forum often, but im on PS page daily to check for news.
And guild names MUST be reserved.

i don\'t know if the guild names really need to be reserved... coz who on earth is gonna try to steal say mirth?  ok maybe the cabal might need some hard coded protection....  but my point is we all know who the guild should belong to, but i\'m not making sense anymore...

Right, is there something possible for that ?

For instance, and to keep it simple, if the guild leaders reserve their character\'s name with the web form Andrew suggested, their guild would be automatically created with them as leader. Up to them to invite again the other members later, change the rank names and so on...

But maybe the guilds are less prone to theft than characters  ;)

I think it wouldn\'t be too difficult to tell the devs if someone has stolen a guild name. That would already rid us of the first d00d-l3wt-h4xx0r people. :)

Wouldn\'t it be easier if the devs set up a new forum usr, and had us pm it if we wanted to reserve our names. We would be able to reserve guild names as well, and their wouldn\'t be any problems in other people taking the,.

Well, it still depends on what Talad says. I\'ve heard something about him not wanting to start over with the DB... But we\'ll see. Still, I\'m pretty sure the devs will figure something out. They haven\'t failed yet. :)
