Info to start a good guild

Ok, im new on this but i want to make a guild with a lot of people from the latin community of rpgmaking, many guys are interested so i want to know where i can get all the info to start a good guild, know the basics and then the advanced things.

If someone could give me links, tips and things about all this it would be great.

and other thing, im part of a guild right now, the first time i got in planeshift someone asked me to join and i just clicked OK , but i want to make my own guild now... how do i renounce or quit or whatever the name is for that?... LOL...

err... those rules don\'t count for anything yet :P
best thing would be to check how existing guilds are organised. Then think of something new (so you won\'t repeat goals of guild that was created earlier).

There are different styles of governing a guild.
-High Council
-Oligarchy (a few rulers)
-2 councils
-Republic
-Democracy
-Monarchy (we\'re all familiar with this common one)
-etc...
I\'d recommend an Oligarchy, since democratic guilds don\'t seem to work well and most guilds are too small for a republic or high council.

From what I\'ve experienced in other MMORPG\'s, an oligarchy is usually the most successful, then of course would be monarchy. Monarchy is a close tie to oligarcy but a little less succesful i believe. Most guilds, especially in an alpha stage are too small (like Monketh said) to have any councils or be a rebuplic.

thx people , all right im creating the beliefs, the goals and getting members.

my guild will be destined to everyone of course, but im planning on having spanish speakers on the guild who are not so good at english and that they are eager to play.

Advertising your guild here won\'t do much good...
