Game Testers Needed!
« on: November 27, 2003, 12:25:17 am »
And no, I won\'t pay you  :P.

This is a fairly early version of my game project for class, but most of the in-game graphics and gameplay are present.  So I want to put it out to get some feedback on how it plays, and moreover how it performs.  Read the ReadMe! file, it should answer most questions about it.  And if you have any more... then you can just look at the source code, it\'s all in JavaScript so it\'s right there for you to see.

You will need:

Version 3.0+ of the Wild Tangent Web Driver
I don\'t think you can install it without their \"Game Channel\" thing, but you can go back and uninstall that and the Driver still works fine.

A DirectX 5.0+ compliant video card and drivers (really 7.0+ though)

Internet Explorer (probably, I haven\'t tested on others and won\'t fix it for them if it doesn\'t work)

And you can download the game itself here. (5.8 megs)
There\'s no installation needed, just unzip it and run open \"Game.html\" (but read the ReadMe first!).

If you get a framerate below ~60 fps (it\'s capped to that) please tell me your machine specs.  I\'m still working on some memory optimizations, which is kind of a guessing process with JavaScript.

This is my first \"3-d\" game, so be nice!
Ninjas have feelings too.  Mostly they feel like dancing.

It\'s a little confusing at first, not to mention kinda hard.
I\'ve never seen anything like that made in java before.

It\'s just javascript, not java. But javascript using an embedded object, meaning it will not run on something else than IE. Sorry, but as I only have linux, I can\'t test that.
