Scythes (a rather long post)

Scythes

Farmer?s scythe
Cost: 50 coins (price to be changed accordingly)
How to make: Go up to a tree and cut of a branch (the stronger you are the bigger the branch) after that get a piece of iron or steel (different strength) and hammer it into a scythe head then use the branch with the scythe head and you get a scythe.
What they do: They cut wheat so you can get 10 at once.

Enchanted scythe
Cost: -- (there is no set price because of all the enchantments that can be cast)
How to get/make: You can either kill the retired wizard (note the only enchantment on this scythe is that you can use it to fight) or you get your own scythe and learn the following enchantments

Level 20: Battle enchant (allows you to use the scythe in battle) it?s a neutral spell
Level 25: Enhance scythe (makes it faster moving) it?s a neutral spell
Level 60: Harvest:
Level 150: Touch of death (Makes it into a ghost scythe its un-tradable but much more powerful) its a totally evil spell.
Level 150: Harvest bringer (With this spell you make the scythe un-tradable because ?you can\'t bear to part with it? in one swing it takes over 100 wheat) it?s a totally good spell

FAQ

Can I enchant my scythe with ?insert spell here- twice?
No you can?t enchant your scythe with the same spell more than once.

Where do I find this retired wizard?
You would find him on one of the many empty farms before he dies he teleports to another farm where he heals himself.

Can I use this on a tamed creature?
Yes but I would recommend not too because it will only get them mad.

What level is this wizard?
He is about level 35 but you can never kill him he drops the scythe while he is teleporting.

Why two spells at the same level?
It is like that because you can only use one if you chose the evil alignment and the other one you can only chose if you chose the good alignment.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

1. Retired wizard??? (especially in the faq)
2. There are no levels.
3. If a  farmer was to know such(So mUCH) magics, he surely wouldn\'t be doing the crops!

firstly There are no levels! secondly it couldbe the most poorly constructed and weakest scythe in the world it would still be able to be used as a weapon thirdly you are a fool if you think scythes are useless as weapons whihc is what you are making them some people never realise is that if a scyth was made to be a weapon instread of just for harvesting which it can be done it beats the hell out of any other melle weapon. there is a stroy some where in medevil times there was a famrers rebilion against some knights in the uk or somthing and they kill the knights wearing plate mail and using long swords with nothing but scythes and pick axes. Never under estimate any weapon some 1 who is mad with a scythe is very scary thing of the way its works they have to but charge at them spining theere scythe and any thing in there path would be oblitered

I never said the scythe wasn?t powerful but they weren?t generally used for farming and I know there are no actual levels but I needed a reference to say that if you were powerful enough you could cast it so i called it levels.
PS: I was going to boost the scythe with a new spell called grim reaper but that would make it over powered as the scythe was meant for farmers not for killers

Edit: The retired wizard gave up magic big time ages ago but he does little spells now (which include telporting to avoid getting killed).
Edit number 2: If you want to know why he quit magic then he quit it because his wife wanted him to and before you ask his wife was tranformed into a chicken and killed (dont you dare ask which chicken)

Well, the way you present it...the thing soocks then. It\'s not generalized, but only for wizards who become farmers. And there are so many of them.

No no all you need to be is a generlised person and most pepole will use it just for farming so you only need the normal scythe if you want to farm. The other improvements are for people who like the scythe as a wepon or do like farming but also do magic (who wont do magic even a little?)

Yeah, but still...such a powerful mage would rarely spend his time choping crops.

And the retired wizard thing surfaced again...more confusion, so try showing us the whole picture.

Actually, what lynx is saying is true. The way you explain the idea about \"magical scythes\", you make it sound like a) You need to be a strong character to get this special scythe, b) You need to be a high-end mage to find the spell to make special scythes or c) You need a very good financial backer, so you can just buy a scythe from a stronger player...

In case you didn\'t know, if a scythe is made properly, it\'s far more sharp than a sword (long, broad, short, you name it - except perhaps a samurai sword and the like), and if shapened by a proper weapon smith, it might as well be used for log-cutting. I\'m pretty sure I wouldn\'t want get near some mad person with a scythe. :D
