And dorbian, please explain to me what exactly the hell you are talking about saying the mercenary part is just a small part...obviously you are the only one who knows what your talking about (which I even doubt) not even your other \"gods\" seem to care.

To start, I wasn\'t flaming, I asked you a question which you ignored so I can only assume you don\'t know...I joked, yes, but that is hardly flaming.

EDIT: Ok, I\'m not going to argue about it since I know how little that works around here, if you would just answer my questions I\'ll be on my way...since it seems most people know what is going on and have their own opinions.

By what I gather from the previous posts, the purpose of this shadowy not-just-mercenary non-guild organization is to maintain an extensive record of the actions of other characters (in-game only? or in the forum? or maybe in *REAL* life  8o )

How they get this information in the first place is apparently a secret too terrible for my mind to comprehend (since the only things I could think of were a) forum archives b) buying information from fallible informants c) running around the world of Planeshift *really fast* in order to watch everyone)  But perhaps all they need is a little bit of information at the right time, and they would be useful.  Kinda like a warped version of the Baker Street Irregulars.

This information would then be available for purchase, or would be used by said organization as \"leverage\" against people in order to ... er.. finance the operations of the group.

ok no we don\'t have different faction\'s, not like there are people especially for a faction, we all have the same rank in the group.

and for BISM well since i have been on the forums i haven\'t heard anything from the BISM anymore, and since it isn\'t all like the BISM i didn\'t consider it.

and the don\'t respond was more whenever someone tell\'s something useless like not for the game you have the habbit to kick the person into the ground and i wanted to be ahead of you this time

well if possible all info real life is useless then we would be an existing organization that would actually blackmail people, but some rl info can be usefuill in some cases.

and it isn\'t na secret to difficult to comprehend it\'s just a secret otherwise everybody would know how we received our info, and the info we have is for sale to the persons that wanna have it.

atm there is no information, and when we have you can always send a pm to me or any of the other members if we have it and the price ( the price will be according to the info inside the document )

I\'m still waiting for an answer, how is this not like The BISM?  All you have done so far is say it isn\'t, but from what I\'ve seen it is exactly like it except less organized and very basic.

as far as my knowledge about the BISM goes, ( which probably isn\'t that far ) you don\'t keep a profile on every person in the game( or atleast a big group ).

if you do, then i will drop the subject and ask for this thread to be deleted, because then i did some of the research wrong and i didn\'t figure out a new part to the game.

Apparently, the Great Gods are an intelligence-for-hire group that also dabbles in mercenary work.  I think they\'re trying to make some sort of massive information database for use in blackmail, background checks, and the like.

Or at least that\'s how it looks to me...

Indeed they would be the target of blackmail, I think; not a very good idea.  Also, its a bit of a conflict of interest I think, 3 of the 4 founding members are Rangers... Hmm...

Just for clarification, The BISM will be able to (not will) do anything since the way it is set up allows us to concentrate on many areas at once, but blackmailing I highly doubt we will do since it is unrespectful (meaning others would look down on us, not sure if that\'s the right word )...and I wouldn\'t like to do it anyways.

I remember applying to the BISM quite some time ago, actually... I never heard anything back though... oh well.

hehe yah i think that guilds like that should be a little more open to people right now. thats mainly how guilds get strong. guilds arent strong because they only let 4 people in at a time. plus you cant really discriminate either because untill about 3 weeks after crystal blue is released everyone will be able to beat everyone else into the ground. no one will be substantually stronger than any other person. :O

A) Um, are you talking about BISM? If so, we\'re not a guild.
B) I\'m planning to be much stronger than everyone else very quickly. I have to much free time.
