what if each race had their own cities for example a dwarven city, a cat city :S and other cities for other races, and when you start the game you spawn in your city and that way it segregates different species from each other, making it more exciting when p2p killing starts.

say if you saw a fellow diabolo being attacked by some dwarves you could rush in to aid them with some other dwarven people. and maybe the diablolos would get more people to come and then kind of gang wars, maybe leading to all out species wars would occur. I really think this would add an exciting twist to the game.

also it would be great to fight along side you real life friends or internet friends to look out for each other and stuff. it would also add to the excitement of walking through the world late at night when gangs of other species could ambush you from behind walls or trees :D

having different levels would mean that you\'d have to be wary about who you are killing which would make it tense, like a real battle.

please say what you think of this idea and how it would be made better :D

From my point of view, \"fight between species\" is a bit similar to / could encourage racism. (cyber racism? lol)

Anyway, i think that even if the devs will surely create some \"dwaven cities\" or \"nolthrir underwater cities\", they will surely encourage the players to ... \"mix\" with each other instead of fighting other races.

I don\'t like it either. And people are very different...I don\'t know if I\'d want to help my \"fellow\" dermorians, if I found them not worthy of it or even of not being worthy of being a dermorian.

For what I\'ve seen there were like three guilds Enkiducai only, and probably many more like them will arise in other races, as some nation only (only french as a sample) have been around too, so racism might exist, not that I am saying that one race only guild will fight with other race only guild, but such thing will probably exist.

i guess so, cyber racism? now why didn\'t that cross my mind when writing that? well what if there were 2 islands, one which we could see in the distance but couldn\'t go to (causes a problem for flying but nvm) and everynow and then npc\'s from the other island came and attacked out island full of an alliance of species. that way there is no \"cyber racism\" and there gets to bee the same thrill of fighting with other real players

how about that  idea ?

I don\'t think that would be possible because of how the PS game world looks. If you don\'t know read the setting.

you have great ideas and they sound like fun but you gotta keep in mind whats possible, i dont think ill like the p2p killing if you cant decline the challenge b/c then u got guys just whording the spawn spots :)

im not talking about huge amounts of npcs here, surely the ps servers can handle a few extra npcs to ad some more excitement to the game.

So much true, PS world is in the shape of a stalactite, so two islands is out of thought.

But the Stone Labyrinths will be the place where the monsters will come from.

firstly whats a stalactite, and secondly, cool. :tup:
someone mentioned about cyber racism if people are segregated into species. Now that i realise this i agree however wont the formation of guilds create a similar scenario where if different guilds make another guild unhappy in some way, abusive language etc would be provoked by both guilds......

Indeed, some groups of people fight other groups of people, in real life and ingame.
But a fight between 2 guilds (for exemple one represents loyaltly and honor and the other is a rogue guild) is better and more... acceptable than a fight between species (called races ingame).

cyber racism? in planeshift? WELL DUH!!!  :D  your going to tell me you havent ever heard dwarven slurs and jokes? I think this is a good idea. Of course it shouldnt get too out of hand but having a lower class race would be kind of neat and stuff. All the thieves would be the lower class races and all of the rich people would be a different race or something. Anyways it would be cool and make interesting gameplay...  8)

i think its a good idea i encourage racism in planeshift.

thougth not wars but like racial guilds, taverns etc

what about each race has theyre on turf and hydlaa is like a neutral place  ;)
