Lets have a cold icy winter!
« on: December 08, 2003, 09:10:06 pm »
On my way home from a friend, here in Sweden,  I thought up an idea. What if we had like sessons? Like the summer is newbie friendly because it\'s warm and so on. But the winter is cold and a hard time.

I tell a friend about PS
Friend - \"Hey! Whata cool game! I wanna join!\"
Me - \"Well, now it\'s winter sesson and you wound\'t have a easy time\"
Friend - \":\'(\"
Me - \"Althoug, you can live in my house, for a little fee (:))\"
Friend - \"YEY!\"

All happy :)

And this will add a new meter, the Frozen meter.  If it reaches 0 you will be losing your health for each 10 secound or so, but while it sinks, you start to go slower and slower.

Well, what do you think?

I think there should only be areas(like the 9 levels) with different fixed climates, with their small weather variations.

Of course not the 9th...it\'s probably a desert if it\'s not a hot  fluid altogether. The lowest are probably the most cold ones.

Seasons inside earth? lol now that\'s strange... but I think someone can come up for a reason so that snow can exist.. But of course, we already have rain so why not snow! I sence the fur coats being a big seller in winter!(hope so ;)) :D

There\'s two topics considering the seasons but I chose this one cos this one is merely about the winter.

Magical snow ;) hailing down from the crystal.
I\'d like to see snow every once in a while cos I really do like the winter... If not caused by the seasoning then at least inside an icy cave or something...

The sun that shines on the surface power the Azure Crystal, so when it\'s winter on the surface(less sun) it will be winter in Yliakum too. There won\'t be snow though, somebody asked this in the dev channel a while back, Yliakum is underground, it never gets so cold there.

But if you go deeper it get even hotter. I was kinda wishing for something with the warmth. Like when its warm, you caracter gets it hot, and needs to rest more, then when it is cold, and you can run a lot longer coz you dont \"overheat\"

Yes but when it is cold it is much harder to breathe and your muscles are much more tight.  trust me i have run in extremly cold weather and i would rather run in 100 degree heat

and actually there is another reason why it should always be warm inside of the stalatite. there are no vents. your surrounded by rock. rock absorbs heat from light very well. im wondering how the world doesnt bake like an oven untill all live is distilled. also the reason why it is cold underground in the first place is because of the lack of light. theres only a difference underground in temperature by about 9 degrees all the way at 2 miles down. so the better question to this thread is \"why doesnt ylakium bake like a furnace?\"
