Because the stalagtite radiates its heat to the entire cave.

Btw can it rain underground, or snow?

because ur underground ther isnt enough air to make a working water cycle. and a stalgtite doesnt radiate heat to the cave. the rock absorbs heat. it works like metal. although you may heat the tip of some iron at 3000 degrees if it was a 10 foot pole the other side actually might be very cold. heat in rock decelerates very rapidly from the surface to the other side. so the heat almost would stay right in the stalagtite. there fore baking it *bows*

Sure it radiates heat. Heat is a flow, temperature is a solid thingie. And rock absorbs heat slowly, although maybe faster than the cave cools it.

A solution would be that the crystal emitts just visible and lower frequency light, which warms the interior less.

I don\'t see why there wouldn\'t be snow someday at some level at some place. And don\'t forget that rain already is there!

I did forget that and i wish they would take it out. it isnt realistic at all.. theres just no way a water cycle could happen in such a small space...

Lol - Small you say? You can create a water cycle inside of a glass jar!

one where you can produce normal occuring rain drops and snow, you cannot produce in a stalagtite.

Who ever said Yliakum was small? If you just look at the map provided at the settings page you can already see that it\'s a huge stalactite(those dots are cities..).

Again, here is a quote from the settings:
\"Named the Azure Sun by those races that still remember the surface, it emits a radiation that is more towards infrared if compared to the light of the sun, but is suitable for photosynthesis and survival of many animals, vegetables, and mineral species. This radiation decays with squared progression with the distance. At the seventh level the radiation is just enough to penetrate the mass of the lake in order to light it, while on the first level it is so strong that it allows wonderful crops and the breeding of great cattle, which provide milk and meat.\"

As I said - you can do it in a JAR - it isn\'t that hard - really!
