Ihave read some of the Forgotten Realms Books by him.  I like thousand Orcs.  I also enjoyed The Sword of Shanara Trilogy by Brookes.
Anyways, Doesn\'t Salvetore also do Star Wars books.
I like his fantasy writing much better than his sci fi.

I think he\'s a pretty good writer. Then again, I\'m not a huge fan of his books. ;)

The Shannara saga is brilliant, but the best saga I\'ve read is the Wheel Of Time, by Robbert Jordan. :D

WoT is awesome, I really enjoy those books.
But still, Tolkien was, is, and will always be the master.
Browsing the forums when I\'m bored, nothing more.

Word to the Tolkien.

It\'s been argued that he\'s not a great storyteller, and a better encyclopedia writer, but I enjoy Tolkien.

Tolkien\'s LotR wasn\'t the best story ever written as it\'s been hyped up to be. But if you put together everything he\'s done on Middle Earth, then he\'s the God of Fantasy. :D

WOT kept me intrested for the first eight books but then I felt like it was just getting dragged out too far. I know everyone argues that the stuff added after that point was needed but it really just lost my intrest I pretty much wanted him to just end it at that point.

lol, after reading 9 and 10 I realised that it was very much needed, 9 and 10 fill in gaps, ready for the final battle. Also I read very quick, so I don\'t get bored of the books. I can read a wot bk in just over a week usually. :D

Speed of reading was never much of an issue. I just felt like it was getting dragged out way too much. I have been thinking about picking it up and reading the rest of the books I haven\'t because I have heard that a lot was fille in in 9 and 10. Who knows have a bunch of other things I am reading right now so maybe when I get done with those I will get back to it.

Ah yes, I loved the brothers war MTG novels... they rocked!! he wrote one or two, if not all of them :P

But my fav one is still Elaine Cunningham.. her characters just feel so lifelike, and that adds a great deal to a story to me...

That is your Opinion that Jeff Grubb is the best game novel writer. I like William C. Dietz and Eric Nylund. The creators of the Halo series.

Went out and picked up book 9 of WOT. I am going to attempt to get back into it. Hope it hasn\'t been so long that I feel I have to reread all of the other ones to get caught up again, wow that would be a lot of rereading lol.

I\'m assuming that its the Wheel Of Time series that Xordan mentioned earlier.
