So many Wheel of time, the Shannara series,  the Sword of Truth books by Terry Goodkind this series of books is impressive cool story.
Lord of the Rings of course.
I also liked the Dragon lance books.
But i think The Cronicles Of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever By Stephen R. Donaldson are near the top of my list.
Terry Brooks also did a series of books Magic Kingdom for sale, sold! which are really good too!

Yes WOT = Wheel of Time.
Also I have read the Magic Kingdom For Sale stuff and it was a good series. Definetly something diffrent after readinf Shanara but itwas still very enjoyable.

lol, I\'m reading The Sword of Shannara now, it\'s really good. :D

If u read the blerb of bk 8 then move onto bk 9 u should remember what\'s just happened. :D U know that Robbert Jordans\' just written the prequil to the Eye of the World... He could have writtn it first... :P It\'s all about Lan and Moiraine. ;)

GRRR. That just means more books I need to read I better hurry because once CB comes out I am sure I won\'t have any extra time to spend reading.

The whole Shanara series is great you should really enjoy them if you haven\'t read them already.

Yeah, it is, and that is supposedly the worst of them :P

I forget what the 4-book series is called, but that one is just great.

The 4 book series was the The Heritage of Shannara.
The trilogy was the Sword of Shanara both great series.

There was also I think it was three books total for the series The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara.

i\'ve read most of his books, one of my favs (right beside Goodkind)

he has more the hmm... whats a good word for it...dnd type and more out there type fantasy as compared to gookind where magic is rare and some aspects aren\'t so fake and fantasy, and everything is kinda scientific

there is also a second series of Cronicles.

It is a great set of work!!
If you havent then maybe you should consider,
It is  a bit dark however!!

I hadn\'t read Voyage of Jerle Shanara yet but I did pick up the first book in the series so right now I am reading that and book 9 of the Wheel of Time. I have read most of Goodkind\'s books and they are great, I think I still need to read the last 2 in the Sword of Truth.

Just wondering I was also looking for a book or series to read with an evil type character as the main character anyone have any good suggestions?
