No Hardware Acceleration
« on: December 12, 2003, 10:38:01 pm »
I open up Planeshift GL Mode and as it appears to be loading, a little red box appears in the center of the screen as well as a long yellow bar at the top with the text, \"No hardware Acceleration.\"

Terribly sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere before. I couldn\'t find it in any of the help topics, though I may just be blind. x_x It does work when I use the Safe but slow mode. So, I\'m not going to die if I can\'t find a solution to this. Although it\'d be nice.

I\'ve seen the topic about \"Deadlink,\" I still haven\'t figured that out yet. I tried the options listed and still it says, \"Deadlink.\" I really hope I can get this working, I did after all spend a while doing pointless things on my computer while waiting for it to finish downloading. Blergh.

Are you on Linux or Windows? It might help if you divulge some of your computer specs, too.

Get updated drivers from the card or chipset manufacturer\'s website, not Microsoft\'s Windows update.  Microsoft\'s drivers have the OpenGL stuff ommitted, because they want to push DirectX.

It\'s a Limitation in Planeshift MB.  It\'s mostly an engine Optimization and Map Optimization problem.  It should be at least Partially fixed in the next release ^.^\"
