I am not sure if I agree completely. Sure, it makes sense to associate various feelins with different elements, but there is always a reverse side to the coin, so to say.

I\'ll illustrate what I mean using the Bluw way. Of course, its easy to imagine an unhasty guy who slowly and steadily builds up a tsunami. But there is nothing wrong with a passionate impulsive character who would send a sharp icicle flying at someone who simply startled him. To extend your comparison, sure there is much stediness in water element, but there are also waterfalls, and avelanches, and thunderstorms.

There have been conversations on this at Kada\'s. I would suggest reading up on those, and then moving on from there.

If you are referring to the hellish discussion you and Draklar had, then i was actually crazy enough to read all... what was it, 5 pages? ... a while ago :P . And i think what i\'m trying to say here is differrent from what you\'ve been discussing (not to mention it\'s the radical opposite of my character\'s opnion on the matter :P )

I said \"to master\", not \"to learn\" or \"to cast\"
My experience showed that the strongest spells always need the \"feeling\".

You said it yourself, the passionate shoots a icicle at one who startled him. The calm one builds up a tsunami against his foe.

And here I am, your opposite. I have been using the Dark and Red ways alot these few weeks. and I love em, I plan to specialize in those two ways after the wipe.
Talamir - DeT, Dark Empire, etc, etc, etc.

*Wipes away a tear.*

Someone noticed! I\'m touched. :D

Anyway, all further conversations on this topic are to be held here. :)

P.S. Because I said so, that\'s why.

I love the idea of specializing in both Crystal Way and Dark Way.  I think combining opposities is very colourful from a RP-perspective, and from a utilitarian standpoint it\'s probably very useful and well rounded.

Is Crystal Way really \"good\" though, and Dark Way really \"evil\"?  My character, Shalmaneser, would argue that it\'s what you do with magic that makes it good or evil, but OOC I can see how one type of magic will stear you down a certain kind of path while another type of magic will stear you down a different kind of path.

Anyway, I\'m not going to play a mage character as my main character, but he will have skill in dark way.  Not much at first, but I would like to see him become powerful in it eventually, at the cost of non magical skills.  Summoning a deamon would be nice.

Brown, Air, and Crystal

My mage is a Battlemage.  He uses magic to protect himself while he destroys targets with weapons.  This game has very high potential for Battlemages to be fun and useful.  So Brown, Air, and Crystal will be main magical ways for him.
