Stamina?
« on: December 19, 2003, 10:08:58 pm »
We could have stamina (how long you can run for without getting out of breath)

It could be in a white bar, or it could be your health (for example, when you run, it hurts sometimes when your run for too long, like a stich.)

It could also increase your strength maybe.

I go either way it could be a good idea but it could also slow game play a lot so i don\'t kno maybe if it is perfected more. but i think it is a good idea overall :)

I like this idea. I also think that if you run for a sertain time, your strength goes up and your stamina holds longer

eh, but people would then just weight two buttons on the keyboard, go away and leave the char running in circles- and when they\'d come back s/he\'d be extra strong. Quasi cheating, but unavoidable.

I like the idea of having stamina, and this game will end once you\'ve challenged the gods, that\'s why i didn\'t like that idea. an mmorpg isn\'t supposed to end.

stamina is more about endurance than strenght.
And if you kept running in circles you\'d probably pass out :P

passing out...that\'d be great.
But even if one passed out after some time running, he\'d prolly still get the skill up, by the pre-coma running. It\'s prolly the milleage that counts. :P

nah, that\'s pretty easy... First you think how fast should those things happen (it\'s just important to make stat/skill grow slow) and then add some kind of sygnal that would tell player that his character doesn\'t feel good.

yeah but one shouldn\'t get tired too quick. Everyone would complain. And one shouldn\'t get tired too \"late\" or the skill would grow too fast then... ;)
