Can't Use Windowed Mode; Hard Accel. Gone AWOL
« on: December 20, 2003, 04:39:13 am »
Okie, I have tried exploring the forums as much as I could muster because the search forums doesn\'t work and there are too many posts. (even thought I complained at the forum help and was told it was the forum company\'s problem, and to whine to them, some help)

I hope I am not being bothersome.

I try to run my client in a windowed state, but the client gets an error when it is intilizing the world. And the client freezes for uncomfortable periods of time whenever I am running in the world.

Here is the Error Sig:
AppName: psclient.exe   AppVer: 0.0.0.0     ModName: rapid.dll
ModVer: 0.97.0.0  Offset: 00004723

I don\'t really know how to get another description of th error, since I don\'t know how to do that verbose thing.

Point is, that I used to run windowed mode just fine, I updated my mobo, vid card, directx and windows with their respective drivers and service packs. I read the post before on this, but I still get the No Harware Acceleration! [box] message when using OpenGL mode.

Thank you.

--VERBOSE MODE--
Windows 2000/XP?
Run -> cmd -> cd \"YOUR/PS/DIR\"
if it is on another drive:
Run -> cmd -> D: ->cd \"YOUR/PS/DIR\"
D: i your drive then

Windoes 9X/ME?
Run -> command -> and then as the XP steps

Then it should read:
\"C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift>\" Or something like that
Then type: psclient -verbose
