Questions,questions?
« on: December 23, 2003, 04:17:20 pm »
Been in a guild will be great when you can do more in P.S.
I\'m not saying been in a Guild now is not great, but!
If I were to join a guild what would be expected of me now?
What work would i need to put into it?
I\'ve looked at some sites, well done eveyone!
But what are the advanages to been in a guild now?
And can some one be in more than one guild?

This also may sound silly but is it your Character that joins or is it the player?

I know that some guilds are worried about people using multiple characters in order to spy and that i am not interesting in.
My in game character\'s are Wolfshade and Kayto! no they wont try to join two different Guilds  !!!!

The advanatges are that people get to know you and U can become a high rank before the game starts going.
It\'s your character which joins.
Most guilds don\'t allow you to be in another guild. The Cabal do, but most guilds wouldn\'t allow you in just for being with us... If you were to join the Cabal, we wouldn\'t expect much of you. Unlike other guilds we don\'t expect you to be very active, only to be a good cabali when you are. Click on my sig below to find out more about us.  :D

Mostly

Advantages: Nix unless you want to have a important share of  the action and profits once activities kick in.
( And dont believe any \"oldbie wisdom benefit in guilds\" crap. There\'s none. Annah runs a guild for crying out loud:D)

Duties: Null yet.
(important or critical ones that is)

Fun: Possibly.

Its more like you should do pretty much what you feel like. There will not be a marked difference for atleastanother year even if CB does come out.

I can only answer for The Mercenary Guild.

\"If I were to join a guild what would be expected of me now?\" - Activity on the forums (in game is less important for now), interest in the guild, the creation of a character profile, and general enthusiasm.

\"What work would I need to put into it?\" - as much as you like, but to be promoted you must show loyalty and contribute to the guild (for instance Klyaksa is creating a flash animation for the guild, he was not required to do this, but never the less he is contributing which makes promotion and trust more likely).

\"But what are the advantages to been in a guild now?\" - A sense of community (See our forums  for example), a sense of purpose, and an increased chance of being promoted (the sooner you join, the sooner you are promoted).

\"And can some one be in more than one guild?\" - It depends, most guilds won?t allow this. However, while it is not encouraged, we (The Mercenary Guild) do just about tolerate this, but we like to think we can win you over to just being a mercenary? And if you do have multiple guilds then you will need to prove yourself twice as much as others, to get promoted half as much.

\"This also may sound silly but is it your Character that joins or is it the player?\" - Both, but mostly the character. However it is better if the player is involved with the guild community.

Oh god Auran you\'re pathetic. If you weren\'t an idiot maybe you knew how to lead an evil guild. Heh ... if you think you\'re evil, you\'re wrong ... you\'re just a morron :D
Do you think you\'re little words means something for me? Nothing ... like you are for me ... no one ! k? Just go back in the garden and start playing with your little blue flowers.

As for you Dexlan, is good to join a guild because first of all, you can became known, you gain fame ... this is for now. You can make enemies ... or allies. You roleplay until the game will be out. When PS will be playable, then you can crush your enemies, have the fun and gain the POWER!

Being in a guild is fun because there isn\'t much better to do. It\'s also good to help get the guild organized and active once there\'s something for the guild to do. What\'s in it for you? Contributing to a cause... or shaing in the taxes. Depends what your goals are.

The advantage is that some guilds give you a headstart, like they give you armor and weapons like a uniform

to the exalted DA: pay no heed to the arrogant one. He shall get whats coming to him :) I dont post much because theres not much to say. What few words I do speak are words of wisdom, or simply words of good humor...I know plenty who could second that notion ;)

hehe! My Princess your post doesn\'t make much sense now as my jewel of a post has been deleted by nasty Mods who are obviously jealous that they\'ll never be able to come up with stuff as funny as I post. But I like the comeback post of yours . I would have liked you at my side. Alas you wouldn\'t have it. I think by now you must have gauged my abilities. Tell me do you still refrain from reconsidering my proposal. Would you rather play the losing team than join the Corruption? Do you really abhorr our company so?

EDIT:
I couldn\'t bear the use of such harsh words against the princess and they are hence withdrawn and my heartfelt regret extended. She is my princess after all even though she might not acknowledge it ;).

Princess Aelya hereby wins the \"Less Corny Comeback Than Annah\" award.
Auran hereby wins the \"Weirder Vocabulary than Draklar Award\" for his use of the word \"abhorr\" (I love that word almost as much as bism bism bism bism bism)
Dexlan hereby wins the \"More OT Threat Than Something Probably Is\" award

Anyway, join a guild so you can argue like Auran and friends!

EDIT: Thread not threat!

Absolutely! How could I have missed that . For the biggest peice of action there is no place but the Cabal. However to play peripheral participant like Davis here you can join any other guild.

The 73rd PS Award Ceremony:

*David announces*
And the weirdest vocabulary award goes to....
*drum roll*.

Auran !

*clapping and cheering*....*award ceremony music plays*
*Auran gets up on the stage and approaches the mic*

Thank you! Thank you all! For my part I\'d like to thank in alphabetical order.........

*opens a 400 page manuscript*

The END?

well if you wanna join a strong guild then join the cabal, any other guild would have fallen apart under the the type of pressure/insults/general hate the cabal gets.. ;)
