I have a router... Port opening

Check to make sure that you don\'t have a firewall running

If you have a fire wall make sure that it allows UDP on port 13331 from planeshift.fragnetics.com

Try using the ip addresss 203.81.47.27 instead of the name

         Thats what the linkdead message sais. i want to know how to do all that?!?! please help me... again.

Check to make sure that you don\'t have a firewall running  

You see those little icons next to your clock, along the start menu bar? If you have a firewall, it will most likely have an icon there. Right click the icon and select \'close\' or \'disable\'.


If you have a fire wall make sure that it allows UDP on port 13331 from planeshift.fragnetics.com  

Consult your firewall or router documentation for instructions on how to do this. If you don\'t have any documentation for it, visit the company website or phone them and ask for instructions.


Try using the ip addresss 203.81.47.27 instead of the name  

When you upload your character, or when you go to login, it will have a space to enter the server name at the top. Instead of the default planeshift.fragnetics.com, try putting just the IP address instead, and see if you\'re able to connect.

The correct IP is not 203.81.47.27, but 203.81.47.74.

It has changed a few times ago. Shouldn\'t it be corrected in this \"About Linkdead\" ? It\'s most confusing for people.

*mumbling*...planeshift people are verry respectfull... not like other games, and forums where rashing insults are posted everywhere.

Look the ip adress micht have been good enough to make me play, but the problem now is... there was a problem in the database of my account mombo jomblo something blabla... well, thats about... what they said.

please help me guys... again

It means that something has gone wrong while creating the account in the database
Go here  to delete the invalid account. After that recreate it in the game :)

Ebonheart, I have answered you in the game about that already...
Anyway, read the player guide, you will find a lot of information there. Also, don\'t miss those two guides :
- Step-by-Step Guide to Downloading and Running PlaneShift: MB
- Mogura\'s Top 30 Newbie Questions Answered Here!

To chat, you have 3 possibilities :
- less than 20 feet, just type the text like you were doing in the game
- worldwide : type /shout
- privately to someone : type /tell

wow, so 13331 udp is the only port which needs to be opened to be able to play, if you have a firewall? Great! Im going to open that port. This is most likley to be my problem (cannot connect to server, of some reason).
