How about Stallag Mytes and Stallag Tytes..
A race of cave people that initially appear to be just that.. stalagmites and tights... as you walk pas them.. their eyes open and.. as you get closer they open a mouth full of pointy rock stallagmite teeth.. their little legs stick out and they get up and run around trying to get you... then once your dead they sit back done and become lifeless rocks again.
then ofcourse theres exil red faced crazy ooompa loompa men.. that run around and spit acid on you...
they like to collect and horde shiney things... and dont like being disturbed. (think Kobols)
Clackerpedes... Longer clackers than burrow into the ground.. they spring up out of the dirt and attack unsuspecting passers.
