I get that same problem. I downloaded molecular blue, and i had the smallest lag i had ever seen on my 56k, then i ran the updater, and after that i too get the 10min to load and after that i get freezing gameplay and sometimes the program stops responding. my system is as below:

1.2ghz amd processor
OS: win xp pro
64mb geforce 2 agp card
56k connection
256mb ddr ram
current cree space: 1.2gig

it worked fine for me b4 i updated with the updater.

i run the game windowed, 16bit no sound or music, and 800 by 600 screen size

hope someone can explain why i get this problem

ya, i only get the 10min load, then alot of big lag, s i could be playin at one time and then i\'ll hit a lag spot and then it gets bad till i get to a spot thats not as laggy

but anyways, i dont know whats causing it, my comp specs are this

1250MHz
768MB RAM
128MB AGP vid card (SiS)
AMD athlon processor
MSI Motherboard
windows XP
cable modem
and normal free space is 6-11 Gigs

and this is ruunnin at 1024X768 or somethin like that

How ever many times this question is asked, the answer stays the same: It\'s nothing to do with your computer, the lag is caused by unoptimised code.

Unless you have less than 256mb RAM...

As such an old graphics card will not support any of the used OpenGL operations - not a chance, I\'d say ;)

lol, ya i think it wouldnt even start up without an error, maybe a pent 1, with maybe a 64MB card or something, or 32MB if it was recent, and as long as u have at least 256MB of ram as moogie says, it may work fine

and as far as i knew it was from using an older version of crystal space (the graphics engine)

Wait next release.

Or buy some RAM is you have less than 256.

But waiting is probably the better idea before spending money.
