talk-action
« on: January 08, 2004, 12:01:46 am »
I heard ppl say that talk-action is somewhat slow.

What I would like to see is an easier something to talk and act. Just a quick bind like the standaard \"T\", so you can typ. Not the problem moving with your mouse and stuff. And that is even more irritating when you have mouse look on.(like me :P)

Always that /shout /say enc... is taking time, theres probably no ohter way, I know. But if you can find something: You Rox0rs!!!(bind too, perhaps  ctrl-s /shout  ctrl-s /say )

Oww, and the old feature I love, the arrowup and you get your old line back. That so usefull when you have to typ /shout over and over again. But you wil probably the get the problem of spammers. Thats the big flaw in that.

If you could look in to this for the new update, that would be great!!  btw addicted in 1 day to PS :P

First off, command history is already implemented in CB; so you don\'t have to worry about that ;)

I don\'t know anything about bound talk keys, but it seems like a pretty popular feature; I\'m sure its already been suggested.

Crystal Blue\'s chat interface includes chat channel buttons. I assume they\'re togglable, so you can click \'Talk\' and type several messages in that mode, then click \'Guild\' and be able to type to the Guild channel untill you choose another chat channel. Etc.

And yes, as Grakrim rightly says, a chat history feature has already been implemented into Crystal Blue also. :)

has anyone thought of a quickbar feature yet?  be able to set spells and macros up to the f? keys.  i think that some quick chat commands would be nice, too, such as pressing v would bring up a menu for combat, social, ect.

could be me, but thats pretty obvious to have that. Its a good feature, sure, but every RPG has such a thing.

But how do I view my history lines??? coz the arrow up isnt doing so very much

Oww, okeej, I havnt but I guess there have to be a ffew games without it. And it is  good feature that I would also like to see.

Well, Id rather not, irl you dont see a chat bubble above a person. So if the game whats to be as realistic as possible that wouldnt be a good idea. It is thrue that you can see that way if someone is talking, or ells you just have to start searching for the caracter which is talking to you.
