It came with the OS?  Don\'t the Planeshift Devs have to agree to that since the art is licensed?

Not that I know, but I would guess that they \"put it in\" the same way they have with the nvidia drivers...
An option to download it, followed by the license agreement..
Just a guess

I started playing EQ during the first week of release. Back in 1999, my friends and I who were playing EQ were thinking we should start a free MMORPG. We were thinking we could slip in corporate logos as sponsors, but it was more of a Blade Runner scenario.
We spent lots of time kicking back drinking coffee thinking about the possibilities and we didn?t think it would be appreciated, soo we just kept playing EQ.

Recently, I stopped EQ, I got bored mostly. It bothered me that I would have to cancel my account to stop paying and it was at a risk that in 5 months my 65 Shaman could poof, 5 years of creation down the toilet. It would be much nicer to think, \"well at this time in my life I don\'t have the time to play, maybe this summer\".

So, since I\'m not playing EQ any more, I downloaded the latest Red hat DVD ISO and prepared to finally do what I always wanted to do, get rid of Microsoft from my pc. As I sat down I thought to myself, \"What kinds of games can I play on Linux?\". I typed in Google \"Linux MMORPG\" it directed me to \"http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&forumid=1&threadid=243973\" and blamo.....Here I am

I personally don?t see what I could contribute to this project, but I seriously want to help if I can think of anything. I am excited for you folks......

(Gawd, I love Open-source, Thank you Torvalds)

I found this game late last summer, early fall, while searching for free 3d mmorpg\'s on google. I was reading through a forum topic that had come up in the searches and somone was talking about PS and how great it was. They couldnt have been more wrong, i was extremely impressed when i first logged in

*edit* i meant\'t to say right instead of wrong, but thats what i get for writing  things while im tired after a really long day of class/work.

Not to be nit picky but your post is an oxy-moron.
You say that they were talking about how great it was and then say they were wrong and follow it with the fact that you love it??!  ?(
Perhaps you should edit it so it makes more...whats the word...sense.

It was more of a contradiction than an oxymoron... \"Military Intelligence\" is an oxymoron
Samoth, that seems like a Shameless advertisement to me... is that really where you heard of PS?

I like Red Jelly Beans!

Bizarrely I was searching for info on a blue screen related to a particular SB driver and someone referenced it on the game site. Had a look and decided to give it a try.
